Getting up in the mornings was getting increasingly difficult and it was only a few weeks later that I realised that I hated my job and wanted a change. My bosses were overloading me with work and using me like a slave. I wanted out.
Only problem was that I like and work in the same town and don't actually have a car. Not that I could afford a car on the wages my work pay me. I needed a cheaper option to allow me to get to neighbouring towns where there are more companies and more jobs.
Unfortunately buses and trains were no good. The nearest train station was miles away and the buses were infrequent and unreliable. I started to think about how I could get more freedom without spending a fortune. Then it came to me. I needed to get a moped. Just a cheap moped would do. Something like a 50cc moped. You know the sort. Think they are also called scooters. Anyway I decided that these were the only option. So I started to look into the cost and where I could get one from.
I looked in the yellow pages and found a local moped shop and also did a search online and found several moped shops that would even deliver. I was shocked by the amazing range of makes and models and there seemed to be a colour for everyone no matter who you were there seems to be a moped out there for you. I was also impressed by the cost. A cheap moped would only set me back a few hundred pounds and if I could use it to get a better job id be making more money anyway so in the long run it wouldn't cost me a thing.
Work was really getting me down and I had lost all respect for my bosses. It was all the motivation I needed to take back control of my life so I ordered my favourite moped from and online shop. It was a lovely moped with its own little box for my bits. I enrolled for lessons and before I knew it I was riding off for my first interview.
I went to as a few interviews in a variety of different towns near me. Now I had my own transport I suddenly felt so free. I even found myself riding around at weekends going anywhere just for fun and enjoyment. My moped was making me so much happier.
Then I got a job offer in a local town which as it was on more money I decided to take and suddenly my whole life had changed. I was getting up in the mornings easily again as I was looking forward to getting on my moped and riding to work. Not to mention the ride home again. I can honestly say that getting my moped is the best thing I've done in years and for just a few hundred pounds has made and unbelievable difference to my life. I strongly recommend anyone else out there in a similar position to look at the options in cheap mopeds. Its often overlooked but can often be the best option. Just look into it for yourself.
